Who or what defines the geopolitical trajectory of the US: President, Congress or the Military-Industrial Complex?

Standard

My answer to Who or what defines the geopolitical trajectory of the US: President, Congress or the Military-Industr…

Answer by Ken Larson:

Both the US President and Congress must collaborate on geopolitical trajectory (s).

Note the plural nature of the above. Although a composite trajectory no doubt exists, it must be worked in 5 major pieces:

  1. Foreign Economic Events
  2. Domestic Domestic Events
  3. Technology and Security Events
  4. Military Events
  5. Political Events

Calm down. We’ll Be Fine No Matter Who Wins

The Military Industrial Complex is simply a bi-product of how well these collaborations occur and how large the industry elements are allowed to grow in support of the government requirements for preparedness and response to 1 and 4 above.
