My answer to Should you go into war with good friends by your side?

Answer by Ken Larson:

One should negotiate out of war with good friends by your side.

The most effective weapon of war is negotiation. All wars eventually result in negotiated settlements. Avoiding them by negotiation in the first place with good friends at your side is the most effective war weapon and by far the least costly in materials, debt and lives.
