My answer to What is your favorite entrepreneurial success story?

Answer by Ken Larson:

I have worked with a young contracting startup who has succeeded admirably in small business federal government contracting through very hard work.

They have had a willingness to learn the business while applying their considerable Geo-spacial Technology and related services talents to contracts with agencies like the Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Navy and grants from the Bill and Malinda Gates Foundation.

It was a pleasure to attend their award ceremony in Washington D.C. as VSolvIT received a Small Woman-owned Business of the Year Award at the link below.

How does one inculcate independence?

They have now grown to a multi-million dollar company and continue to prosper in their fields of endeavor.
