My answer to Are we overly dependent on technology? Should we plan to live without it?

Answer by Ken Larson:

We are finding it difficult to manage the unintended consequences of our rush to high technology. It is becoming apparent we need to build in some safeguards.

We have come to far in the development of technology to consider planning to live without it. It impacts too many facets of modern life in such key areas as the power grid to communication from heath care to transportation, from weapons systems to space travel.

We must find ways to control and deal with the collisions of technology developments.
